nendo : Neyuki

With the delicacy that characterizes it, the Japanese studio nendo designs, in collaboration with the Japanese confectionery brand Flanders, mini-cheesecakes overhung with sticks whose stylized form echoes that of fir trees. In a box sprinkled with sugar, the set is reminiscent of the winter landscapes of Hokkaido Island where the candy company is based.

Inspired by a tradition in the north of the archipelago that involves dipping food in the snow to preserve and soften their flavor, the box Neyuki - a local term for a white powder coat - symbolizes the snowy plains of Hokkaido Island.

An original way to savor the famous Flanders cheesecake: instead of cutting out portions in the bakery, simply pull one of the nine sticks so that the piece to be tasted emerges from the trompe-l'œil hiémal.

The studio led by Oki Sato is also at the origin of the visual identity de Neyuki , in particular its packaging which, in accordance with the minimal style of the products of the mark, is only dressed with the letter N surmounted by a solid triangle. A simple letter certainly, which announces yet a new range of pastries - including Neyuki is the first product - aimed at enhancing local know-how.

What to wait patiently before the end of winter!
