Pulpo : Fabulously Awesome Tablescape

At the Maison & Objet and the London Design Fair, the German publisher Pulpo presents its new collection: Fabulously Awesome Tablescape. The result of the collaboration of four designers, this range of table accessories proposes original creations that include purely decorative objects as well as dishes or vases.

GIRAFFE + SWAN + RHINO + DEER by Kai Linke

Designed by German designer Kai Linke, these four statuettes of bronze animals are both traditional in their subject, and atypical in their treatment. If the concept of the golden figurines has existed since the dawn of time, the works imagined by the artist detonate by their staggered approach - mixing a giraffe with a deer not indeed common - but also by the appearance of these last, slashed, as if they were still in progress. What to de-dramatize a table often too serious!

MOUNTAIN + CONSTRUCTION + LAC by Babin Ferréol

Made without a sketch by French designer Babin Ferréol, this three-piece set includes a vase, a container and a decorative object, all entirely made of ceramic. Very poetic, it recreates a chimerical universe using abstract shapes and bright colors and brings to life the ceramic table decorations, sometimes fallen into disuse.

MERIT + BOLA + MAKET + LLANO by RSW

This collection, designed by the German studio RSW, is composed of four ceramic decorative elements and two others made of beech wood and three boxes, also made of faience. In spite of their very varied appearance, the pieces are united by the same manufacturing process: each object is covered with a glaze imitating the texture of the lava according to a technique developed in West Germany since the mid-twentieth century.

Neolit by In addition

Consisting of three ceramic-covered foam elements, this set of three cups is reminiscent of the texture of meteorites. A futuristic aspect for an ancestral technique, such is the mantra of the London design studio. at the origin of these atypical creations.

POT POURRI by Meike Harde

To complete the collection Fabolusly Awesome Tablescape from Pulpo, the German designer designs a series - available in four models and colors - entirely made of blown glass including a jug and three cups. Each set shows the range of possibilities offered by this artisanal technique: voluptuous forms, transparency, opacity, etc. The whole is available in brilliant colors allowing to inscribe this antediluvian know-how in a contemporary approach.
