Ron Shenkin Studio : Open-Sided Shelter

Ron Shenkin Studio was confronted about a place of contemplation Cemetery Pardesiya Israel. Light poles arboreal suspend heavy concrete roof and wrap the many folds. The architects imagined an open and minimalist place where the geometric complexity of the building is quickly erased by the purity of the selected materiality.

The monument consists of a concrete slab symbolizing the expansion of construction. The slab is stabilized by metal pillars in the shape of trees. Oak remains inside the structure, and seems to pierce the cover. Building materials and color palette are monochromatic and mainly consist of shades of gray respecting the neutrality of the place.
