Street Alliance 83 to Clabecq in Belgium, the architectural firm Calimucho renovated and expanded this small town house. Painted gold, it is extended by a lateral extension shaped house archetype, concrete frame clad in composite panels. Dressed in gold or Corten steel, two boxes protruding pierce its envelope, punctuating the façade and the interior bathed in natural light.
On this project, the architects of Calimucho state:
"Boxes out in some parts of the project, for reasons both aesthetic and functional (gears contributions lights and bedside table in room). One is as if from gold, pushing the existing dwelling, the Corten steel is another (found in other places too ... at the gateways in particular). The project is located in the post-industrial steel exclusively zone. Like the post constructions -médiévales were built with castles recovery elements deserted by the Lords ... We like the idea that steel come punctuate a few projects in the region. "
