08.11.17  Rural Urban Framework: Jintai Village

Four years after the terrible earthquake that hit the Sichuan region (China), Rural Urban Framework, a group of research and collaborative design, imagines alternative solutions for the reconstruction of destroyed villages. In Jintai, the association is trying to recreate the local way of life in a covered hall and growing areas on the roofs of 26 dwellings.

07.11.17  ChartierDalix and Brenac & Gonzalez et Associés: Lot 07

As part of the construction of the ZAC Clichy-Batignolles in Paris (17e), architecture agencies ChartierDalix and Brenac & Gonzalez and Associates have designed an office building of 24 000 square meters on the 07 Lot. An achievement highlighting the railways that face it and that vibrates to the rhythm of the sky and the activity of the employees who give life to its corridors.

07.11.17  Sordo Madaleno Architects: The Americas 1500

In the business center of the effervescent megalopolis of Guadalajara (Mexico), has set up a surprising office tower, Las Américas 1500. The Mexican studio Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, delivers here a totemic building thanks to the offset of four impressive parallelepipedic volumes, accentuated by the zebra lines of their facades.

06.11.17  STPMJ : The Masonry

The Masonry - is a unitary unit of two dwellings erected by the Korean studio STPMJ in the commune of Suwon-Si (South Korea). Designed to accommodate two families, the building diverts the architectural codes of the townhouse, not without a nod to Robert Venturi's postmodern achievements.

06.11.17  Villa Noailles: New Looks

Since 2003, Villa Noailles exposes each year the work of talented photographers from October to January. For this new edition, she presents a collection of photographs, drawings and films from the iconic art center of Hyères (83). Under the evocative name of "Nouveaux Regards", the event invites us to rediscover the building designed by Robert Mallet-Stevens in 1924.

03.11.17  Mario Cucinella Architects: One Airport Square

In Accra, Ghana, Italian agency Mario Cucinella Architects designs One Airport Square, an 17 000 square meter infrastructure that combines commercial and administrative activities. In order to fight against a suffocating heat, the masters of work have resorted to a vast patio and a free plan allowing a natural ventilation on all the trays. An exemplary achievement that plays with the extreme weather conditions of the country.

Who, being small, has never dreamed of giving life to his Lego® constructions? The architect Bjarke Ingels, did it! Thanks to the young prodigy of architecture, it is now possible to walk inside a life-size brick assembly, the LegoHouse, in the birthplace of the famous plastic parallelepiped: Billund (Denmark).

02.11.17  Studio Maks and Junya Ishigami: Vijversburg Park

A funny structure is taking place in the Vijversburg park in Tytsjerksteradiel in the Netherlands. A tripartite UFO, the visitor center is the result of a four-handed work including the Dutch studio Maks and the Japanese agency Junya Ishigami. Composed of three long corridors, this new space follows the topography of the site without denaturing it.

Designed on an exceptional site located between lake and mountain, the hotel Yi Chen of Dali (China), arranged by the Chinese studio Li Yizhong Interior Design, is a haven of peace with the unique aesthetic combining elements rustic and contemporary.

31.10.17  Event: Shiro Kuramata at the Wauthier Gallery

The very young Wauthier gallery - opened in July 2017 - in the heart of the Marais in Paris (3e) hosts a retrospective dedicated to the work of Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata. Gathering twenty works, the exhibition, to discover until 30 December 2017, reflects the poetic universe of the former member of the group Memphis.

30.10.17  MVRDV: (w) ego

From science fiction to post-apocalyptic films, the architecture of tomorrow is rarely fantasized in a colorful way. Yet, to the question "What does the city of the future look like? The Netherlands architecture agency MVRDV responded to this question at Dutch Design Week (Netherlands) by (W) ego, a building with pop nuances and positive talk.

30.10.17  Ionna Vautrin: The Illustrated Kamasutra

A thousand times illustrated and reinterpreted, the famous book whose subject is no longer to quote, finds a new form of expression, under the effective layout of the fine point felt of Ionna Vautrin, who leaves here his chosen field: design . 27.10.17  Studio KO: Yves Saint Laurent Museum

In Marrakesh (Morocco), the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, designed by the young Frenchmen of Studio KO, traces behind a brick facade, the career of the famous couturier who fell in love with the city. Close to the Majorelle garden restored by the creator and his companion Pierre Bergé in the 1980 years, it is the first building on the African continent dedicated to fashion.
